Audio Conferencing

(formerly Audioconferencing)

I.           SERVICE DESCRIPTION.

1.     Audio Conferencing.  Audio Conferencing provides a multipoint long distance telecommunications service between a single calling station and two or more called stations. Audio Conferencing requires a teleconferencing bridge port for each called station. A Conference Center provides the necessary bridge ports. This service is available on a limited basis and is not available for collect calling.  Cancellation of scheduled conference calls within 30 minutes prior to scheduled conference call time is subject to the charges specified below.

2.         Service Levels

Customers may designate service levels on a conference call‑by‑conference call basis. Peak and Off-Peak rates apply. The Peak rate period applies from 12:00 a.m. Monday through 11:59 p.m. Friday CST and the Off‑Peak rate period applies from 12:00 a.m. Saturday through 11:59 p.m. Sunday CST, unless otherwise specified. The following levels of service are available for Audio Conferencing:

2.1       Premier Service. Premier Service is an attended service that provides a operator to support the call. A Conference Operator is assigned as the single point-of-contact to ensure meeting requirements are met, including support before, during, and after the call. Premier Service is available using toll-free or direct distance dial numbers.

2.2       Standard Service. Standard Service is reserved in advance and is an attended service that provides two entry methods: i) a Conference Coordinator greets and announces participants as they dial in; or ii) the call leader and participants are given a numeric passcode to automatically enter the conference. The Conference Coordinator will leave from the conference call after the conference call begins, but will monitor the conference call. Participating callers can recall the Conference Coordinator at any time during the conference call by entering a pre-assigned code.

2.3       Unattended Service. Unattended service allows participants to enter directly into a conference bridge without operator assistance by entering a customer/call-specific numeric passcode. Conference assistance is available as needed by summoning a conference operator. Unattended service is available using toll-free or direct distance dial numbers.

2.4       Instant Meeting Service. Instant Meeting Service provides seven-day, 24-hour conference calling availability supported by pre-assigned bridge ports. Verizon will issue two passcodes to the Customer for use with Instant Meeting Service at the time the Customer initially enrolls for the service via a subscription. One passcode is assigned for the Customer's use to activate the subscribed ports for a conference call. A second passcode is provided to the Customer to be made available to the participants on any Instant Meeting conference call that the Customer initiates. Instant Meeting Service provides for a Conference Coordinator for technical assistance only. Verizon will terminate a Customer's Instant Meeting Service subscription at the 1-20 port level if the Customer fails to use Instant Meeting Service in any period of 180 consecutive days. Verizon will terminate Customer’s Instant Meeting Service subscription at port levels of 21 to 100 ports if: i) the MRC is waived under Customer’s signed agreement, and ii) Customer fails to use Instant Meeting Service for 365 consecutive days.

II.         FEATURES AND OPTIONS: The following features are available:

Audio Conferencing Features and Options

III.        RATES AND CHARGES: Customer will pay the rates and charges set forth below. All conference calls are rounded to the next higher full minute. Calculation of usage begins at the time the first participating caller connects to a conference call and ends when either the last participating caller in the conference call disconnects or the Conference Center Coordinator terminates the call. If the computed charge includes a fraction of a cent, the fraction is rounded to the nearest whole cent.
