Mobile Strategies to Finally Eliminate the Desk Phone

Since the advent of the cell phone and its phenomenal uptake in the enterprise, many users have wondered why we can’t simply eliminate the private branch exchange (PBX) and use mobile exclusively. Gordon Littley leads the specialized sales organization for Verizon’s leading applications services group. The organization specializes in delivering high-value solutions and specialized sales for Verizon Enterprise customers.

Previously, Gordon served as Director of Outsourcing operations. Comprised of 4,000 technical, sales, and service professionals, this $300 million business served MCI’s largest call center outsourcing clients. In addition, Gordon’s charter included establishing clients’ customer relationship management, database marketing, data-mining and targeted marketing strategies.

SIP Trunking Services Update

Derek Curl is the Product Director for Enterprise Unified Communications (UC) & Internet Protocol (IP) Communications for Verizon. In this role, he and his team manage Verizon’s (Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS), Collaboration and Voice over IP (VoIP) product portfolios with a focus on the enterprise market.

An industry veteran, Derek’s previous roles with Verizon have included managing Voice Product and Operations for Verizon Partner Solutions and leading the Managed Network Services team. In addition, Derek led a Verizon Lean Six Sigma team and served in other sales and marketing roles during his tenure with the company.

Cloud Communications Cost Management

Customers must first understand the business outcomes they are looking to accomplish. In her role as Verizon’s Global Collaboration Practice Lead, Michelle works with Verizon’s Enterprise customers to holistically vet cloud solutions and their impact to bottom lines, performance and an organization’s culture. Before moving to Verizon in 2010, Michelle spent much of her career focused on assisting mid-size customers make UC&C decisions.

While most enterprises have been able to ignore cellular infrastructure issues, that will change with 5G. The combination of small cells and higher frequencies will mean that equipment and cabling will need to be installed within buildings if users are going to get the full benefit of 5G mobile technology. Justin Blair: Executive Director, Product Management and Development, Verizon
Justin Blair is an Executive Director on the Business Products team, in Verizon’s Global Products and Solutions organization. Specifically, he leads product management for the internet of things (IoT) and wireless business products. Justin is also responsible for Verizon’s IoT business development efforts, including relationships with relevant original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and carriers globally. Justin’s team is responsible for identifying key market opportunities, defining commercial models and customer requirements, and driving the development and launch of innovative solutions for Verizon's enterprise and business segments. The IoT teams are also responsible for product business enablement, field engineering and operations, which includes Verizon’s Open Development device certification program. ThingSpace is the cornerstone of Verizon’s IoT products, and technology advancements like Cat-M1 and eUICC allow customers and partners to take advantage of the nation’s largest and most reliable 4G LTE network for new use-cases.
