The 21st Century Cures Act requires home healthcare providers to implement electronic visit verification (EVV) for all Medicaid personal care services by January 2020, and all home health services by January 2023. By those dates, providers must electronically verify six aspects of each home-care visit, including the provider, patient information, date, location, time and type of service.
